Description

  • Define configuration management plans for key programs.
  • Document, review, approve, and communicate engineering change requests in a timely manner.
  • Generate, populate, and submit change requests, including impact analyses.
  • Execute change notices and verify completion of implementation activities, including BOM updates and effectivity settings.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of the change process, including cost of change and rework rates.
  • Manage configuration data for design gate reviews such as PDR, CDR, and MRR.
  • Set agendas and organize configuration management meetings and control boards.
  • Lead change control board discussions and communicate decisions and outcomes.
  • Analyze product baselines in Teamcenter for compliance with industry and organizational standards.
  • Support configuration management reviews and audits, including FCA/PCA, and perform periodic audits of as-built records.
  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to assess design changes and their impact.
  • Develop and implement training for engineering teams on change management processes and tools.
  • Improve change management workflows and tools through continuous improvement efforts.
  • Mentor and develop configuration management analysts.
  • Partner with engineering teams to define requirements and improve digital engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of direct product configuration management experience, including product structure, parts, drawings, and requirements management.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a high-rigor environment such as aerospace, automotive, security systems, medical devices, or nuclear.
  • Familiarity with configuration management principles and practices.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and/or data management tools for complex products.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex quantitative data into clear decision statements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • AA/AS or BA/BS in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Nuclear, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Proven experience in the aerospace industry (preferred).
  • Technical writing experience for processes and procedures (preferred).
  • Experience with Teamcenter, Teamcenter Requirements, Teamcenter Quality, Confluence, and JIRA (preferred).
  • Database skills, including SQL and queries (preferred).
  • CM2 or equivalent configuration management certification (preferred).
  • Current security clearance at the S or TS level (preferred).
