Description

  • Lead U.S.-based public health initiatives that improve population health through project management, data science, and innovative process design.
  • Manage a team of public health consultants supporting state and local public health programs.
  • Direct key client engagements and serve as a liaison among clients, community agencies, institutions, providers, coalitions, and internal teams.
  • Contribute to BME Strategies’ overall leadership, strategy, direction, and firm priorities as part of the leadership team.
  • Serve as a strategic and technical advisor on organizational stewardship, high-level accounts, and service delivery.
  • Set and support growth strategy, targets, and proposal approval processes for director-level work.
  • Develop strategic direction and work plans with the Managing Director and Leadership Team, including future project pipelines.
  • Mentor Practice Leads and consultants on business development, KPIs, reporting, staff support, and management.
  • Oversee preparation of project and grant proposals, applications, and delivery of project and grant outputs.
  • Direct research development, data collection, and analysis for monitoring, evaluation, and program implementation.
  • Lead reporting, publication support, performance management, and quality improvement efforts across client programs and internal services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of client-facing experience, including 7 or more years in project leadership roles.
  • Minimum 6 years of day-to-day people management experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of practice/service area leadership experience.
  • Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field.
  • Required experience in project management, data analysis, public health, strategy consulting, grant sourcing, and grant management.
  • Experience working in local public health in one of the following states: NY, NJ, PA, MD, or VA.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to balance people management with individual work across multiple tasks.
  • Collaborative, supportive working style with the ability to engage positively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Alignment with BME Strategies’ shared values.
  • Preferred location in NY, NJ, PA, MD, or VA; remote home-office position within the U.S.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to client sites, conferences, or meetings, with 10-15% travel anticipated.
  • Ability to work in a remote-first organization.
  • Unable to sponsor work-related visas.

  • Salary range of $160,000-$200,000 annually.
