Description

  • Design, build, and scale patient support services infrastructure.
  • Own the end-to-end patient journey from referral through therapy initiation.
  • Establish program goals, performance benchmarks, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Remove financial, logistical, and administrative barriers to therapy access.
  • Oversee patient assistance programs, co-pay support, prior authorization navigation, and appeals management.
  • Drive operational excellence across hub services, specialty pharmacy coordination, field reimbursement, and case management.
  • Champion adoption of digital tools and technology platforms that improve the patient and provider experience.
  • Serve as the connective hub between Patient Services and the broader commercial organization.
  • Ensure patient support programs comply with HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute, OIG guidelines, and applicable federal and state regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree such as an MBA, MPH, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Significant leadership experience in patient services, hub services, or market access operations.
  • Success with specialty or rare disease product launches preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of the patient access ecosystem, including hub services, specialty pharmacy, field reimbursement, prior authorization, co-pay programs, and patient assistance.
  • Experience with hub service platforms and patient support technology solutions strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and influence cross-functionally in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements governing patient support programs, including HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute, and OIG guidelines.
  • Experience evaluating, implementing, and optimizing digital platforms and technology solutions for patient services.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Travel required for vendor oversight, internal commercial meetings, patient advocacy engagements, and industry conferences.
