Description

  • Manage multiple engineering projects and ensure products are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Lead and mentor engineers, testers, and support staff, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and career development.
  • Collaborate with product, design, support, implementation, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth development and delivery.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle for a team operating in an agile environment.
  • Establish and maintain coding standards, best practices, security protocols, department standards, and procedures.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, methodologies, and implementation approaches to improve engineering execution.
  • Ensure technical deliverables are secure, defect-free, and aligned with quality expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners to support successful project completion.
  • Work directly with the CEO/CTO to influence technical direction and business decisions.
  • Monitor project progress and report results to leadership.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience demonstrating the required engineering skills and competencies.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Bootstrap, jQuery, AWS, modular software development, multi-tenant architecture, and highly scalable systems.
  • Proficiency with cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Hands-on full-stack architecture experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Docker containers, Kubernetes cluster management and orchestration, microservice architectures, and DevOps practices and tooling.
  • Previous leadership or management experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build consensus across internal and external stakeholders.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MS/MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
  • Must have successfully delivered at least two projects end-to-end.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and choose the best implementation methodology for each project.
