Description

  • Prospect into large State, Local, and Education organizations and run an efficient sales process.
  • Maintain, build, and own relationship maps for the territory, including existing and target contacts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each customer's business and value drivers.
  • Negotiate pricing and business terms with large SLED enterprises by selling value and ROI.
  • Manage existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth across the assigned territory.
  • Identify the steps needed to close business and secure customer validation.
  • Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency.
  • Break into new State, Local, and Education accounts, including hybrid accounts transitioning to the cloud.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of closing experience, including field selling within an assigned SLED region.
  • 2-3+ years of SLED/government sales experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of $1M+ with average deal sizes of $100K+.
  • Ability to prospect and build pipeline independently using a defined methodology.
  • Experience working for an innovative tech company, with SaaS or IT infrastructure preferred.
  • Experience selling into large SLED organizations and winning new logos.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to client sites within the region and other areas by car, train, or air as needed.
  • Passion for technology and interest in growing skills, even if not every qualification is met on day one.
