Description

  • Meet with CIOs, IT executives, line-of-business leaders, program managers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Close both new and existing accounts in the State and Local public sector.
  • Identify and secure quick wins while managing longer, more complex sales cycles.
  • Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets.
  • Track customer information, including use case, purchase timeline, next steps, and forecasts, in Salesforce.
  • Use a solution-based sales approach to create value for customers.
  • Promote Databricks' enterprise cloud data platform powered by Apache Spark™.
  • Prioritize opportunities and allocate resources appropriately.
  • Build internal success plans at Databricks and external plans with customer accounts.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction across managed accounts.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience exceeding sales quotas.
  • Field sales experience in big data, cloud, or SaaS sales.
  • Experience managing State accounts is required.
  • Prior customer relationships with CIOs, program managers, and other key decision makers.
  • Ability to clearly explain complex cloud technologies.
  • Success closing new accounts while managing existing accounts.
  • Experience working in an early-stage company environment.
  • Understanding of Spark and big data is preferred.
  • Passion for cloud technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree.
