Description

  • Drive key product and design initiatives in a strategic new product area.
  • Define agent-driven workflows that move users from data and insights to decisions and action.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and leadership to shape business applications on the Databricks platform.
  • Design intuitive user experiences for complex enterprise workflows.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business objectives, customer needs, emerging AI capabilities, and the broader data and technology landscape.
  • Conduct user research to identify customer needs, pain points, and opportunities around data activation and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Mentor junior designers and support their growth within the team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product design experience.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design, computer science, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex design projects and balance the needs of diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to create strong visual and interaction design rooted in a data-driven, well-researched UX process.
  • System thinking with the ability to design the big picture and break it into incremental pieces for engineering.
  • Combination of technical knowledge and visual design skills for building tooling for technical users.
  • Portfolio demonstrating an end-to-end design process from inception to production.
  • Experience designing products that bridge technical and business users is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with data, analytics, AI, or enterprise software is highly valued.
  • Experience using modern development and AI-assisted coding tools to prototype ideas, understand implementation tradeoffs, and collaborate with engineering teams is preferred.

Benefits

  • Zone 1 salary range of $166,600 to $229,150 USD.
  • Eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
