Description

  • Lead, hire, train, and develop a team of Specialist Solutions Architects.
  • Support complex sales cycles and customer architectures for strategic accounts.
  • Partner with Sales, Solution Architects, Field Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to drive critical use cases forward.
  • Exceed regional consumption targets and help grow Databricks platform usage.
  • Prevent churn in strategic accounts by overseeing a regional growth quota.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in large corporations.
  • Resolve customer questions, concerns, and escalations on strategic accounts and opportunities.
  • Mentor team members and help build career paths for assigned team members.
  • Guide the team on technical qualification, proof of concepts, architecture discussions, and product demonstrations.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience in the data space with a technical product such as data warehousing, big data, or machine learning.
  • Experience leading customer-facing technical overlay teams of more than 8 people, preferably in a pre-sales organization.
  • Experience as a trusted advisor to technical executives making strategic data infrastructure decisions.
  • Ability to challenge priorities, work collaboratively, and think strategically and analytically.
  • Experience hiring qualified candidates, ramping them successfully, and promoting them into larger roles.
  • Experience working with Sales, Product Management, and Professional Services teams.
  • Experience leading technical engagements and overseeing technical account strategy.
  • Experience coaching teams through best practices for technical qualification, proof of concepts, architecture discussions, and product demonstrations.
