Description

  • Prepare and deliver tailored demos that demonstrate how CoLab addresses customer pain points and use cases.
  • Partner with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to solve complex customer problems.
  • Assess current customer workflows, pain points, and business outcomes to map them to CoLab capabilities.
  • Advise prospects and customers on how AI can be applied in mechanical engineering contexts.
  • Partner with Product Managers on new product initiatives to bring a mechanical engineer’s perspective into the product.
  • Share customer insights with Product to help guide what the company builds next.
  • Support evaluation periods with prospective customers and help position CoLab during the sales process.
  • Explain technical and business value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support customer onboarding and success transitions to drive long-term adoption.
  • Act as a cross-functional instructor on engineering topics for internal teams.

Requirements

  • Mechanical engineering background with real-world experience in product development, engineering processes, and design.
  • Broad industry exposure in complex mechanical sectors such as automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, or medical devices.
  • Deep knowledge of CAD/PLM tools and industry domain expertise.
  • Ability to understand customer use cases and establish credibility through relevant technical knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor technical discussions to different audiences.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.
  • Ability to explain complex topics in a clear, easy-to-digest way.
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic and tactical priorities in parallel.
  • Experience as a solutions or sales engineer is a bonus.
  • Comfortable working remotely from anywhere in Canada or the USA, with regular travel expected.
