Description

  • Lead customer technical projects by delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, and data ingestion and ML/AI model integrations.
  • Own architecture and lead design decisions to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
  • Work with engagement managers to scope technical delivery work based on customer input.
  • Embed with customer teams and engage stakeholders from technical individual contributors to executives to understand challenges and deliver impact.
  • Collaborate with Databricks technical teams, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver the technical components of engagements.
  • Work with Engineering and Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and help resolve engagement-specific issues.
  • Contribute accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale impact across accounts.
  • Train and guide customers on architecture, design, and adoption of Databricks solutions.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
  • Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
  • Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
  • Experience designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures and applications that combine data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
  • Experience managing technical project delivery, including scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across a broad stakeholder group.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new technologies that support Databricks-based solution delivery.
  • Databricks Certification is required or strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel to customers 20% of the time.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $180,656 to $248,360 USD, depending on location and experience.
  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus.
