Description

  • Own the architecture and lead design decisions for customer-facing data and AI solutions.
  • Design, build, and deploy production-grade systems, reference architectures, and custom applications.
  • Integrate data ingestion pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing applications end to end.
  • Work directly with customers and embed with their teams to understand challenges and deliver measurable impact.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engagement managers, project managers, architects, engineering, product, developer relations, and customer support.
  • Scope technical delivery work with engagement managers and customer input.
  • Provide technical guidance that helps customers evaluate, adopt, and succeed with Databricks.
  • Deliver customer projects to specification with strong customer empathy.
  • Contribute accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that can be reused across accounts.
  • Provide implementation and product feedback to support rapid issue resolution and influence the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, JavaScript, TypeScript, or modern frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
  • Deep experience with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
  • Experience designing and deploying production end-to-end data architectures and applications.
  • Experience delivering technical projects, including managing scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across a broad stakeholder group.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new technologies that support Databricks-based solutions.
  • Willingness to travel to customers 20% of the time.
  • Databricks Certification is required or strongly preferred.
  • Experience with distributed computing is preferred.
  • Experience with technical project delivery is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $180,656 to $248,360 USD, depending on location and experience.
