Description

  • Guide customers through Databricks platform administration from architectural design through production deployment.
  • Architect secure, scalable Azure deployments using VNets, Private Endpoints, Microsoft Entra ID, and applicable compliance controls.
  • Advise on Azure infrastructure, cloud networking, identity management, infrastructure-as-code, and platform operations.
  • Support Solutions Architects during technical sales cycles by creating proof-of-concept architectures and Azure-focused technical content.
  • Collaborate with customers to align technical roadmaps with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
  • Share expertise through tutorials, hackathons, conference presentations, and open-source community contributions.
  • Continuously develop expertise through mentorship, internal training, and hands-on learning.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on technical experience with deep Microsoft Azure expertise, including cloud security, networking, and enterprise data platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience with distributed architectures and big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as pre-sales, post-sales, or consulting.
  • Deep expertise in at least one area: Azure security and identity, enterprise networking and deployments, platform administration, or infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with Azure security controls, Microsoft Entra ID/SCIM, OAuth, SAML, federation, encryption, compliance, or vulnerability management.
  • Experience with Azure networking, including VNet peering, ExpressRoute, Private Link, routing, performance optimization, or large-scale deployments.
  • Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, cluster orchestration, observability tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics, or Azure cost management.
  • Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
  • Experience with Python, Java, or Scala and strong SQL proficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience; Databricks or Azure certifications preferred. Willingness to travel up to 30% and meet initial six-month training and delivery milestones.
