Description

  • Serve as the trusted technical advisor for one or more named strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Build deep relationships with data, AI/ML, and platform engineering leaders.
  • Shape customer AI strategy by designing GenAI and ML architectures and evaluating build-versus-buy decisions.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership to help enterprise customers solve business problems across the full data and AI lifecycle.
  • Consult on modern Lakehouse architectures and implement proofs of concept for strategic projects.
  • Validate integrations with cloud services, in-house tools, and third-party applications.
  • Work with sales teams to define account strategies and develop the book of business.
  • Collaborate with regional field teams, product, and engineering to drive architectural guidance and roadmap input.
  • Promote Databricks open-source ecosystem projects such as Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog.
  • Develop technical champions within customer organizations and across the developer community.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or a similar pre-sales or consulting role.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data and AI technologies, including Apache Spark, data engineering, data science, and modern AI/ML workloads.
  • Strong hands-on architectural experience with the ability to whiteboard, design, and build end-to-end solutions.
  • Experience working with large enterprise or Fortune 500 customers; global account experience across multiple geographies is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting digital-native or SaaS enterprises with mature data and AI practices is a strong plus.
  • Strong consulting and customer-facing experience across a variety of industries.
  • Coding experience in Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
  • Experience building distributed data systems at enterprise scale.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customers regionally and occasionally internationally.
  • Prior experience working in or with a Global Capability Center model is nice to have.
  • Databricks Certification is nice to have.
