Description

  • Act as the senior technical expert for complex issues spanning data pipelines, ML pipelines, and AI applications.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot production workloads at the code level to improve performance, reliability, latency, and cost.
  • Diagnose and support machine learning and large language model deployments across real-time and batch inference.
  • Guide customers on model operations topics such as experiment tracking, model registry, versioning, evaluation, labeling, tracing, and observability.
  • Support Generative AI use cases using Databricks AI, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG, APIs, vector embeddings, semantic search, and prompt engineering.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and account teams on customer issues and product improvements.
  • Influence product roadmap and support business growth by sharing customer and technical insights.
  • Develop and share technical knowledge through wikis, documentation, and internal or external AI systems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience designing, building, and scaling data, machine learning, and AI systems in production.
  • Experience with Python, Scala, and Java in on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; Databricks experience is a plus.
  • Strong data engineering experience for end-to-end machine learning training pipelines.
  • Experience processing large datasets with Apache Spark is ideal.
  • SME-level knowledge of feature engineering, ML frameworks, model training, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining strategies.
  • Experience building, designing, or troubleshooting LLM-based Generative AI applications.
  • Familiarity with agentic frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MLOps and LLMOps, including model evaluation, scoring, ranking, optimization, training, validation, and packaging.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; professional certifications are a plus.
  • Prior support or customer-facing experience is not required, but a strong desire to build customer service skills is important.
  • Experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, or AI Engineer is highly valued.
