Description

  • Own the architecture and lead design decisions for customer solutions.
  • Design and build production-grade systems, including reference architectures, custom applications, and data ingestion workflows.
  • Implement end-to-end data engineering, AI, and application development solutions.
  • Lead technical delivery for customer projects from design through deployment.
  • Scope technical work with engagement managers and customers based on project requirements.
  • Guide customers on architecture and implementation to support adoption of Databricks.
  • Partner with Databricks engineering, project management, architecture, and customer teams to deliver engagements successfully.
  • Work with engineering and customer support to surface product feedback and resolve engagement-specific issues.
  • Embed with customer teams and engage stakeholders from technical contributors to executives.
  • Contribute reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that can scale across accounts.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
  • Experience writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, or modern frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
  • Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
  • Experience designing and deploying end-to-end production data architectures and applications that combine data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
  • Experience with technical project delivery, including managing scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across a broad stakeholder group.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new technologies that support Databricks-based solution delivery.
  • Willingness to travel to customers 20% of the time.
  • Databricks Certification.
