Description

  • Own the global GTM and enablement strategy for Lakebase across Field Engineering and Partner Technical Sales.
  • Build scalable enablement assets using AI, including technical deep dives, competitive talk tracks, hands-on labs, and demo environments.
  • Design and maintain scalable demo environments and POC repositories for forking, customization, and technical proof-of-concept delivery.
  • Partner with Lakebase Product and Engineering leadership to translate roadmap updates into field-ready assets before GA.
  • Capture field friction, lost deals, and SA objections, and feed actionable recommendations back to Product.
  • Develop the competitive narrative and “why Databricks” story for customer and executive conversations.
  • Create multi-format enablement programs such as solutions content, AI role-plays, labs, and self-paced learning paths.
  • Build AI-powered tools for instant answers, pitch practice, and automated competitive briefs.
  • Define and track KPIs for field readiness and Lakebase deal performance.
  • Spend about 10–15% of time in customer-facing moments, including executive briefings and select competitive POCs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, developer relations, technical product marketing, or technical enablement.
  • Direct experience in databases, distributed systems, or cloud data infrastructure.
  • Hands-on knowledge of PostgreSQL, OLTP databases, or cloud database services.
  • Experience running POCs, handling live objections, and defending technical positions against competitors.
  • Demonstrated ability to build enablement programs from scratch rather than only iterating on existing content.
  • Strong product instinct for mapping roadmap features to customer use cases and competitive differentiation.
  • Experience working directly with Product and Engineering teams as a peer.
  • Ability to challenge Product with field evidence and data when the field cannot sell something.
  • Scaling mindset with an emphasis on leverage and automation for global field teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex distributed systems concepts to broad technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with the data and AI ecosystem, including Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, vector databases, and AI/ML serving patterns.
  • Nice to have: experience at a high-growth infrastructure company during a major product launch.
  • Nice to have: background in both pre-sales and post-sales technical roles.
  • Nice to have: hands-on experience with Databricks or competing platforms.
  • Nice to have: experience building AI applications on operational databases, including RAG patterns and agent architectures.
  • Nice to have: prior use of AI to automate content creation, build internal tools, or ship demos faster.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $174,200 to $299,400 USD depending on location zone.
