Description

  • Meet with CIOs, IT executives, line-of-business executives, program managers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Close both new accounts and existing accounts within a dedicated State and Local territory.
  • Identify and close quick wins while managing longer, complex sales cycles.
  • Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets.
  • Track customer details, use cases, purchase time frames, next steps, and forecasts in Salesforce.
  • Use a solution-based approach to selling and create value for customers.
  • Promote Databricks' enterprise cloud data platform powered by Apache Spark™.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction across all accounts.
  • Prioritize opportunities and allocate appropriate internal and external resources.
  • Build internal and account-level plans for success.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience exceeding sales quotas.
  • State and Local government sales experience is required.
  • Field sales experience in big data, cloud, or SaaS sales.
  • Experience selling into an early-stage company environment.
  • Existing customer relationships with CIOs, program managers, and key decision makers.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex cloud technologies.
  • Proven success closing both new and existing accounts.
  • Understanding of Spark and big data is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
