Description

  • Maintain and grow Dane Street’s network of specialized expert witnesses.
  • Research, source, and onboard niche specialists across engineering, financial, forensic, and scientific fields.
  • Negotiate expert witness agreement terms and retention fees within pre-established guidelines.
  • Collect and manage onboarding documentation, including CVs, certifications, fee schedules, W9s, and background checks.
  • Maintain expert records, including profile updates, fee schedules, and active/inactive status.
  • Lead complex negotiations and contract renewals for high-priority expert witnesses.
  • Resolve urgent and high-priority open service requests by locating qualified experts and providing progress updates.
  • Coordinate with operations and the Director of Operations on specialized fee structures and pipeline demand.
  • Support technical onboarding, portal training, and case-specific inquiries for expert reviewers.
  • Stay current on industry trends, evidentiary standards, and legal/insurance operations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of specialized recruiting experience, ideally in an expert network firm, litigation support agency, insurance defense firm, or legal staffing environment.
  • Proven success sourcing non-traditional, highly technical roles such as engineers, financial analysts, and scientists.
  • Strong investigative research and sourcing skills using LinkedIn, academic publications, professional associations, and industry registries.
  • Deep understanding of professional credentials, technical CVs, and scientific or technical disciplines.
  • Excellent negotiation, contract communication, and relationship-management skills.
  • Working knowledge of legal, insurance, or forensic terminology.
  • High proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work remotely with reliable, high-speed, uninterrupted internet.
  • Occasional travel or industry conference attendance may be required.
