Description

  • Perform preliminary credit assessments, Quickli servicing calculations, Equifax report reviews, document verification, and borrowing-capacity calculations.
  • Assess and resolve complex lending scenarios, including construction progress payments and irregular or self-employed income.
  • Ensure applications comply with Australian credit licensing standards, lender policies, LVR limits, and privacy regulations.
  • Review and quality-check VA-entered AOL data before submission through bank and non-bank lender portals.
  • Source lender forms, resolve submission issues, and manage rework to maintain turnaround times.
  • Maintain deal tracking, file notes, workflow automation, and pipeline accuracy in Connective Mercury.
  • Liaise with mortgage brokers, VA staff, lenders, bank portals, and compliance bodies.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and guide the offshore VA while improving their independent performance.
  • Set performance expectations, review work quality, and escalate issues when necessary.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of Australian mortgage broking experience in credit assessment, loan processing, or senior broker support.
  • At least 1 year of direct people management experience and willingness to mentor team members.
  • Strong knowledge of technical credit assessment, non-standard income verification, credit-score thresholds, LVR limits, and lender policies.
  • Advanced hands-on proficiency with Connective Mercury, Quickli, ApplyOnline (AOL), bank serviceability calculators, and lender portals.
  • Exceptional written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to inclusive, open-minded workplace values and serving a diverse client base.
  • Exposure to Broker Engine, CoreLogic, or Salesforce is preferred.
  • Experience managing offshore or remote VA teams is preferred.
  • Experience handling high-volume broker pipelines across multiple lenders is preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary of AUD 2,100–3,150 per month, depending on skills and experience.
  • Monday–Friday schedule, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM AEST.
