Description

  • Serve as the overall point of contact and subject matter expert for an assigned portfolio of projects.
  • Support pre-construction activities including constructability reviews, risk analyses, schedules, budgets, CAPEX estimates, and EPC RFP evaluations.
  • Develop and implement project execution plans and communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership during construction to ensure safety, quality, schedule, cost, environmental, landowner, and legal requirements are met.
  • Manage construction contracts, including EPC, owner-furnished equipment, interconnection agreements, and technical consultants.
  • Track deliverables, schedules, cash flow, RFIs, change orders, notices, and dispute resolution during construction.
  • Consolidate, manage, and analyze budgets, costs, forecasts, and utilization against financial goals.
  • Plan and hire field staff and provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to assigned team members.
  • Build relationships with internal departments, contractors, suppliers, landowners, government agencies, permitting bodies, and utilities.
  • Prepare summary management reports and interface with lender’s engineers on reporting, reviews, testing, and draw certification.
  • Coordinate operations and maintenance handoff and ensure EPC contract closeout at final acceptance.
  • Champion change and support the implementation of new ideas, processes, tools, and policies across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, industrial construction, or capital project management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management, construction methods for large projects, contract management, procurement, supply chain management, environmental and building permitting, and transportation logistics.
  • Basic knowledge of construction labor relations across the United States.
  • Proficient understanding of the full solar project life cycle.
  • Experience with high-voltage interconnection aspects of project scope.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Project, Excel, and PowerBI.
  • Experience with Procore, SiteTracker, NetSuite, or other discipline-relevant software.
  • Ability to travel approximately 35%.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
