Description

  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level network solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Architect and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure on AWS, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, NACLs, and Security Groups.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot outages and connectivity issues.
  • Automate network tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Cloud Engineering teams to support best practices and compliance.
  • Lead network-related projects and mentor junior engineers.
  • Document network configurations, operational processes, and infrastructure updates.
  • Manage network tools and services such as firewalls, load balancers, and monitoring systems.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend network improvements aligned with business goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles.
  • Strong understanding of core networking concepts, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS networking services, including VPC, subnets, NAT Gateway, Route Tables, Security Groups, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway.
  • Experience with cloud-native security and connectivity patterns.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, SolarWinds, or Nagios.
  • Experience with automation and scripting using Python, Bash, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of load balancing technologies such as ELB, ALB, or NLB.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud networking environments is preferred.
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty or another relevant AWS certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with containerized environments such as Kubernetes or ECS and their networking components is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and principles is preferred.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as finance or healthcare is a plus.
