Description

  • Drive high-leverage projects across the stack from concept through completion.
  • Develop new user-facing features and update existing ones.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to define consistent APIs and frontend interaction patterns.
  • Lead cross-team architectural decisions for the application.
  • Produce detailed technical specifications and feature documentation.
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for new features.
  • Work with software engineers, ML researchers, physicians, product managers, UX researchers, and other stakeholders.
  • Meet with product owners, AI/ML researchers, doctors, and stakeholders to define, negotiate, and estimate features using Agile practices.
  • Up-level the team by sharing expertise in areas such as API design, system design, cloud infrastructure, or healthcare data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer owning features from design through delivery and iteration.
  • Professional experience with React, including components, hooks, state management, and performance.
  • Python backend experience, ideally with async frameworks such as FastAPI or Starlette.
  • Experience with both NoSQL and relational databases, including modeling around access patterns.
  • Comfort with asynchronous workflows such as background jobs, retries, idempotency, and eventual consistency.
  • Demonstrated experience improving product quality through testing, including e2e coverage, visual regression testing, and CI.
  • Understanding of AWS, Docker, Terraform, AI/ML technologies, Git, and RESTful services.
  • React Native or Expo experience, or other cross-platform mobile experience, preferred.
  • Experience with visual/snapshot regression testing, Storybook, or harness engineering, preferred.
  • Experience building design systems or component libraries, preferred.
  • Accessibility experience with WCAG or screen readers, preferred.
  • LLM application experience, including streaming, tool calling, and eval-driven iteration, preferred.
  • Experience with Temporal or other durable execution systems, preferred.
  • Experience working with healthcare data such as CDA, CCD, or FHIR, preferred.
