Description

  • Investigate credit and financial information for prospective and existing clients.
  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flows, collateral, and repayment sources for commercial loans.
  • Independently evaluate complex credit relationships and develop recommendations with minimal guidance.
  • Prepare credit approval packages, proposals, spreadsheets, financial summaries, and written opinions.
  • Partner with lending teams on credit risk assessment and portfolio management.
  • Support the Team Leader and serve as a backup when needed.
  • Train, mentor, and support the development of new team members.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, security requirements, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Credit Analyst.
  • SBA credit analysis experience preferred.
  • Expertise analyzing complex financial statements, tax returns, credit information, and cash flow performance.
  • Knowledge of credit investigations, collateral requirements, commercial lending, and accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state commercial lending laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and business or lending systems.
  • Willingness to collaborate, coach, and mentor colleagues; position requires 0% travel.
