Description

  • Own the end-to-end testing lifecycle across web, API, and mobile platforms.
  • Define scalable QA frameworks, automation strategies, and release validation standards for a weekly deployment cadence.
  • Drive shift-left quality practices by integrating testing early in the software development lifecycle.
  • Maintain and improve functional, regression, and performance/load testing coverage.
  • Develop, coach, and grow QA engineers while fostering a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Influence quality practices across engineering teams and serve as an internal QA best-practice advocate.
  • Create reusable AI-enabled agents and lead AI-assisted testing initiatives.
  • Champion Playwright as the primary automation framework and expand automation coverage across web and API surfaces.
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and support release validation, including occasional after-hours deployments.
  • Partner with product managers, developers, and DevOps to embed QA into Agile workflows.
  • Define and track quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and release reliability.
  • Surface quality trends proactively and drive resolution before they block releases.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing, including 2+ years in a lead or senior individual contributor role.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for web and API end-to-end automation.
  • Strong automation fundamentals with Cypress, Selenium, or comparable frameworks.
  • Working proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java, with the ability to validate or correct AI-generated code.
  • Experience with functional, regression, and performance/load testing using Postman, JMeter, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile delivery, including defect lifecycle management in Jira and TestRail.
  • Ability to operate independently under a steady release cadence and manage competing priorities without close supervision.
  • E-commerce QA automation experience, especially in high-frequency CI/CD environments, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BrowserStack, Appium, Gatling, Argo CD, Grafana, or GCP-based infrastructure is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Apple Pay automation or similar payment flow testing is preferred.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills, including influencing without authority, are preferred.
