Description

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with South African labour legislation and business strategy.
  • Manage the South Africa employee lifecycle from offers and onboarding through exits.
  • Maintain and update the South Africa Employee Policy Guide in line with legal and business changes.
  • Handle employee relations matters including grievances, performance concerns, disciplinary processes, investigations, and terminations.
  • Prepare documentation for and coordinate CCMA conciliations, arbitrations, and related proceedings.
  • Advise managers on corrective action, performance management, and fair labour practices.
  • Develop and maintain the Employment Equity Plan and submit EEA2 and EEA4 reports.
  • Coordinate Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report submissions, and manage SDL and SETA-related processes.
  • Oversee POPIA-compliant employee data practices, records, retention, and secure destruction protocols.
  • Lead South Africa-specific employee engagement, onboarding, communications, and local administrative support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in an HR Manager or senior HR generalist role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business, or a related field.
  • Deep working knowledge of South African labour legislation, including LRA, BCEA, EEA (with 2025 amendments), POPIA, and OHSA.
  • Demonstrated experience managing CCMA matters through conciliation and arbitration.
  • Hands-on experience with Employment Equity reporting, including EEA2 and EEA4 submissions.
  • Experience with Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report submissions.
  • Strong employee relations and disciplinary hearing experience with procedural and substantive fairness requirements.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and databases; Workday experience preferred.
  • Professional membership with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) preferred.
  • Experience with BBBEE compliance, SETAs, and levy grant recovery processes preferred.
  • Experience supporting a multinational or US-headquartered organization with cross-border HR coordination preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR reporting tools preferred.
