Description

  • Shape and execute automated and manual testing strategies that scale with the platform.
  • Design end-to-end test scenarios for front-end functionality, back-end data integrity, third-party integrations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Build and maintain functional and integration test suites, including automated scripts and high-fidelity test data.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to review specifications, identify edge cases, and define end-to-end use cases.
  • Validate functionality, improve code quality through peer reviews, and report test results transparently.
  • Act as a technical resource to Product and Tech teams in a close feedback loop to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Adhere to and help optimize formal QA workflows and quality processes.
  • Support product quality as a key guardian of the healthcare platform.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building and scaling robust automation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software quality assurance methodologies and high standards for product stability.
  • Experience working in Agile environments using TDD and BDD.
  • Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
  • Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails, Cucumber (Gherkin), RSpec, FactoryBot, Capybara, Selenium, SitePrism, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency with Bitbucket for version control and Jira for ticket-based workflows.
  • Familiarity with the Hotwire stack, including Turbo and Stimulus, and Tailwind CSS is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines, specifically CircleCI, is preferred.
  • Previous healthcare industry experience and familiarity with compliance requirements such as HIPAA and SOC2 is preferred.
  • Remote role based in Canada for a 15-month fixed-term contract.
