Description

  • Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain back-end services, models, processes, and databases that support the application.
  • Build and support RESTful APIs for consumption by client applications.
  • Ensure server application functionality, security, and performance meet design expectations and remain bug free.
  • Lead a team of engineers and mentor team members through continuous training and guidance.
  • Participate in development team activities to maintain high levels of quality and productivity.
  • Stay current on new technologies and development techniques to improve application quality and construction efficiency.
  • Embrace agile principles and support iterative delivery processes.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice for complex assignments and projects.
  • Perform complex design and analysis work to meet business needs through technology.
  • Provide project leadership, including managing small to medium projects and presenting recommendations to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Java/Spring development.
  • Experience developing commercial Spring MVC, Hibernate, and AJAX web applications.
  • Experience designing, building, and consuming REST services for system integration.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL as the database engine.
  • Experience deploying on AWS.
  • Experience with relational database skills for PostgreSQL and Terraform.
  • Experience with React.js is a plus.
  • Comfort working closely with business stakeholders, user experience designers, and quality assurance teams.
  • Excellent and concise written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong openness to evolving requirements and specifications.
  • Belief in the value of test automation.
