Description

  • Ensure adherence to contractual SLAs and communicate issue status clearly to stakeholders.
  • Lead urgent operational issues and projects, assigning appropriate staffing resources as needed.
  • Design, build, support, and manage engineering activities related to cloud initiatives.
  • Develop, design, and support automation modules using Puppet technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Linux, networking, and load balancing components.
  • Work with development engineering to create and deploy CI/CD infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement environments for quality assurance, development, and other lifecycle stages.
  • Deploy and support applications in cloud environments.
  • Ensure infrastructure security and maintain secure, reliable, scalable, and automated environments.
  • Provide direct server support during deployments and general production operations.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure new environments meet requirements and follow best practices.
  • Design, implement, and test agreed-upon infrastructure solutions.
  • Automate deployment of Linux applications, system configurations, and security settings.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar relevant field.
  • 6-10 years of related professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins, Azure, App Center, CloudFormation, Ansible, Subversion, Docker, or similar tools.
  • Strong experience administering cloud-hosted environments on at least one IaaS platform such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft products such as TFS and TeamCity.
  • Experience with virtualization of servers, applications, and desktops, including related data center requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Chef.
  • Experience with infrastructure tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with CI/CD toolchains, including Kubernetes.
  • Basic scripting experience in Python, Ruby, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Linux distributions including RHEL 8, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Flexible attitude and versatile personality.
