Description

  • Lead two or more software development teams working on strategic initiatives within the Explore organization.
  • Adapt leadership style to each team’s maturity, autonomy, and needs while fostering ownership and accountability.
  • Partner with Product Management, Applied Science, and Engineering leaders to deliver AI-powered capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews when appropriate.
  • Coach and develop engineers to support career growth and build a healthy, high-performing engineering culture.
  • Contribute to cross-team collaboration, planning, and continuous improvement across the R&D organization.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Development Manager leading two or more distinct software development teams.
  • Strong software engineering background with the ability to understand, review, and discuss production code.
  • Experience building Software as a Service (SaaS) products.
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate effectively and adapt leadership approach to teams with different levels of maturity.
  • Experience leading teams working on machine learning or artificial intelligence products (preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with Applied Scientists or research-oriented engineering teams (preferred).
  • Experience leading organizations through periods of growth or organizational transformation (preferred).
  • Passion for building high-performing teams while remaining close to technical challenges (preferred).
