Description

  • Partner with business leaders to understand goals, business processes, and how success is measured.
  • Define KPIs and reporting requirements with business teams, challenging assumptions and recommending better approaches when needed.
  • Develop reporting frameworks that support root cause analysis from executive metrics down to operational drivers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on reporting strategy, visualization, KPI design, and best practices.
  • Own administration, governance, and ongoing development of the Sigma platform.
  • Establish reporting standards, reusable data models, dashboard design guidelines, security, and development best practices.
  • Develop frameworks that integrate Sigma with tools such as Databricks Unity Catalog or dbt semantic layers.
  • Architect scalable data models in Sigma to support self-service reporting.
  • Create documentation, training materials, and enablement resources for business users and report developers.
  • Lead Sigma adoption across the organization and reduce reliance on manual reporting and spreadsheet-based analysis.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience developing business intelligence and reporting solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in data or analytics engineering with end-to-end reporting support.
  • 1+ years of experience developing conversational analytics and agentic AI solutions.
  • Advanced experience with Sigma, including dashboard development, administration, governance, and security; equivalent experience in tools like Looker is acceptable.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and reusable data models.
  • Strong understanding of KPI development, dimensional data modeling, and reporting design.
  • Experience with AWS, Databricks, Delta Lake, Airflow, dbt, Redshift, or Datahub; Databricks and dbt are preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, and Cursor.
  • Proven ability to communicate with both technical and business teams and tell stories with data.
  • Data science or business background preferred.
  • Hands-on experience creating data pipelines in dbt.
  • Experience modernizing reporting environments and consolidating reporting platforms.
  • Track record of leadership and mentorship in a remote environment.
