Description

  • Design and build new resilient batch and real-time data pipelines that support critical products and business growth.
  • Design and build data pipelines for migrating from existing disparate data models and sources into new production data models and databases.
  • Champion data reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and quality-first engineering practices.
  • Optimize data models to support fast, efficient decision-making across product and business use cases.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and data science teams to turn evolving business needs into scalable, production-ready data solutions.
  • Shape the long-term data engineering roadmap and define best practices for the organization.
  • Coach teammates and help build a culture of learning, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Work independently in high-ambiguity environments and make sound decisions without clear existing solutions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python.
  • Deep expertise in data processing technologies and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Proven experience driving innovation within highly technical, distributed teams.
  • Track record of completing complex projects and solving high-impact problems.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating robust distributed data platforms such as Snowflake, Spark, Flink, or Kafka.
  • Experience handling large data sets.
  • Experience building, productionalizing, and optimizing real-time and batch data pipelines.
  • Experience designing data architectures for multiple use cases, including experimentation, is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and containers is preferred.
  • Experience at a rapid-growth company or early-stage startup is preferred.
  • A passion for food is preferred.
