Description

  • Monitor and maintain infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and applications.
  • Perform routine checks, preventive maintenance, and incident response to minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Document issues, solutions, and operational processes to strengthen team knowledge.
  • Plan, test, and execute system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes with minimal business disruption.
  • Automate routine tasks and implement scripts, tools, and AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Optimize infrastructure performance, capacity, and resource utilization.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, backup and restore processes, and recovery testing.
  • Decommission legacy infrastructure such as EC2 instances, VPCs, and load balancers, including Terraform state cleanup and DNS cutover.
  • Collaborate with engineering, network, security, and business stakeholders on infrastructure design and status communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration or a similar role.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Linux administration, AWS resource management, CI/CD and server orchestration pipelines, scripting, and monitoring.
  • Expertise in cloud-based production systems at scale and AWS services such as EC2, VPC, EFS, S3, and EKS.
  • Production experience running Kubernetes workloads in EKS, including ArgoCD GitOps deployments.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools, primarily Terraform.
  • Experience working in a Python- and JavaScript-centric codebase and following related best practices.
  • Experience creating CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Concourse, or similar tools.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog or Prometheus.
  • Experience maintaining logging, monitoring, and alerting with OpenSearch, Vector log pipelines, Prometheus, and Kafka.
  • Experience configuring and managing PostgreSQL/Aurora RDS, OpenSearch, Redis, and Kafka.
  • Experience designing and maintaining log ingestion pipelines such as Vector to OpenSearch or Vector to Kafka.
  • Experience triaging and remediating security vulnerabilities across infrastructure components, including container images, OS packages, and third-party services.
  • Preferred: Agile methodology experience.
  • Preferred: Promoting AWS infrastructure-as-code best practices.
  • Preferred: AWS Well-Architected principles experience.
  • Preferred: High availability implementation experience.
  • Preferred: Security and compliance experience.
  • Preferred: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
