Description

  • Design, build, and launch production-grade conversational AI solutions for enterprise clients, from prototypes to scalable deployments.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and enterprise partners to define user journeys, performance goals, and success metrics.
  • Work with engineering teams in San Francisco to integrate new AI platform capabilities and help shape platform direction.
  • Experiment with AI-driven features such as LLM-based agents, retrieval systems, and automation pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain backend systems using Python, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and DynamoDB to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Establish, track, and iterate on AI performance metrics to optimize outcomes and drive business results.
  • Plan and manage your workstream, making tradeoffs between deadlines, quality, and innovation.
  • Mentor teammates, participate in code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices in a distributed environment.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
  • Proven experience building and scaling enterprise systems using Python, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and/or DynamoDB.
  • Frontend engineering experience with React, TypeScript, or similar technologies is a plus.
  • Prior experience developing or deploying conversational AI applications is a strong plus.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment, ideally at a startup or high-growth tech company.
  • Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong system-level thinking with the ability to balance strategy and detailed implementation.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving product needs.
  • Hands-on experience with prompt design, agent evaluation, and LLM-based system integration is a significant plus.
