Description

  • Manage day-to-day construction activities across multiple simultaneous projects to keep work on schedule and under budget.
  • Lead external construction project managers and coordinate internal and external project teams.
  • Coordinate supply chain support for owner-furnished equipment, resources, and procurement needs.
  • Advocate for jobsite safety and enforce company, site, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Lead entitlement, permitting, and local approval efforts for data center development and construction.
  • Work with design, construction, and jurisdictional stakeholders to secure permit dates and project milestones.
  • Prepare construction estimates, project budgets, and unit cost reports.
  • Lead project planning efforts, including pre-award and pre-construction meetings, scopes of work, and contracts.
  • Review plans and specifications for completeness and execution readiness, and support value engineering as needed.
  • Oversee contractor buyout, submittals, change orders, pay requests, closeout procedures, and cost tracking.
  • Monitor cost, quality, safety, risk, and schedule performance on the project site.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities, vendor participation, and turnover to customers.
  • Provide data-driven updates and action plans to support executive decision-making.
  • Mitigate project risk through pre-planning, innovative planning, and partnership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in construction or construction management.
  • 5+ years of experience in the mission-critical industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership and people management skills are required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically, with an extensive focus in the Columbus, Ohio market.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based commissioning software, and financial management software platforms.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; Cologix cannot sponsor or transfer employment visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT.
  • Experience with mission-critical data center environments is preferred.
