Description

  • Partner with the Global Accounting team to complete month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and review financial statements for global consolidated audits and international subsidiary statutory reporting.
  • Maintain parallel books for international subsidiaries in accordance with local country GAAP and ensure support for accounting adjustments.
  • Support monthly management reporting and related analytical reviews.
  • Understand ABOR posting and mapping rules and coordinate with Financial Analytics teams on posting logic and fund flows.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, and Source-to-Pay teams to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
  • Coordinate regulatory filings and tax reporting for external stakeholders such as auditors and regulators.
  • Maintain intercompany schedules and ensure timely settlements in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Support liquidity management for the India entity in coordination with the Treasury team.
  • Monitor safeguarding of customer funds and oversee related reconciliation procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting systems, processes, and controls.
  • Lead or participate in financial infrastructure projects, including system integrations, automation, and vendor transitions.
  • Manage and review work from junior accounting team members and support their professional development.
  • Maintain process documentation and procedures for accounting tasks.
  • Support ad hoc financial information requests, analyses, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification required.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a Big 4/professional services firm or a publicly traded fintech/SaaS company.
  • Experience leading month-end and quarter-end close processes.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and Ind AS, with understanding of SOX compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of Indian regulatory frameworks, including the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST regulations, and FEMA.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate across business functions and communicate confidently with senior leadership.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments and managing multiple priorities autonomously.
  • Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and collaborative mindset across large teams and departments.
  • Ability to use generative AI tools and copilots responsibly in daily workflows, with human-in-the-loop practices.
  • Experience working in NetSuite, FloQast, and Google Suite is preferred.
  • Experience in a SOX control environment is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of digital assets and the crypto economy, or a desire to learn, is preferred.
  • Basic SQL knowledge and experience with reporting/analytics tools such as Snowflake or Looker is preferred.
  • Experience working at a bank, fintech, financial regulatory agency, or professional services firm serving financial institution clients is preferred.
