Description

  • Manage a fast-paced docket of US consumer litigation and arbitration matters.
  • Develop, execute, and continuously assess Coinbase’s global consumer litigation strategy and tactics.
  • Identify and mitigate consumer protection issues and risks arising from Coinbase’s platform operations.
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders on global consumer litigation matters and strategy.
  • Draft and file pleadings and briefs as needed.
  • Engage and manage outside counsel effectively and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of litigation experience at a top law firm and/or in-house.
  • Experience managing and successfully resolving strategic litigation.
  • Experience with consumer protection law and consumer class actions.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage an expanding litigation practice using outside counsel strategically and efficiently.
  • Excellent judgment, analytical rigor, clear communication, and business pragmatism.
  • Team player willing to tackle tasks large or small.
  • Ability to learn new areas of law quickly and well.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school required.
  • Member of a US state bar in good standing.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Experience working with or in the cryptocurrency space, FinTech space, and financial institutions and markets preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $224,995 to $264,700 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
  • Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Remote-first arrangement with required in-person participation throughout the year.
  • Team and company-wide offsites held multiple times annually and fully supported.
