Description

  • Develop and execute Base’s social strategy across X, Farcaster, and emerging crypto-native networks.
  • Lead the Base social team, support their development, and set them up for success.
  • Create and publish social-first content that communicates Base’s mission, ecosystem activity, and cultural moments.
  • Translate product launches, builder stories, and ecosystem updates into engaging social formats.
  • Partner with builders, creators, and ecosystem teams to spotlight projects launching on Base.
  • Actively engage in crypto-native conversations, trends, and real-time discussions with the community.
  • Lead social planning for major announcements, campaigns, events, and industry conference moments.
  • Work closely with product, developer relations, communications, and marketing teams to align messaging and launches.
  • Track social performance, analyze trends and sentiment, and refine content strategy based on results.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience managing social media or digital content for high-growth technology, crypto, or internet-native brands.
  • Experience running teams, building and executing content strategy, and developing talent.
  • Deep familiarity with crypto culture, communities, and platforms.
  • Ability to craft clear, concise, and culturally relevant posts for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort testing new formats, memes, and content strategies to reach new audiences.
  • Experience using analytics to evaluate performance, test hypotheses, and inform strategy.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Strong tone and audience judgment with the ability to maintain a credible and engaging brand voice.
  • Demonstrated ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots such as LibreChat, Gemini, and Glean in daily workflows, with human-in-the-loop practices.
  • Experience working with developer ecosystems or crypto communities (nice to have).
  • Experience managing social for a crypto protocol, exchange, or company (nice to have).
  • Background in content production such as short-form video, podcasts, or livestreams (nice to have).
  • Existing relationships with builders, creators, and crypto-native influencers (nice to have).

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $170,765 to $200,900 USD.
  • Total compensation may include equity eligibility.
