Description

  • Oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis for global accounting areas such as Operating Expenses, Capitalized Software, and Operating Cash.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Source-to-Pay teams to support accurate accounting and financial reporting.
  • Support preparation and review of financial statements for the global consolidated audit and international subsidiary statutory financial statements.
  • Manage and review deliverables from junior accounting team members while fostering their professional development.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting systems, processes, and controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead or participate in critical financial infrastructure projects, including vendor transitions, system integrations, and automation efforts.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures for all tasks.
  • Support ad hoc financial information requests, analyses, and special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain parallel books for international subsidiaries in accordance with local GAAP and support monthly management reporting and analytical review.

Requirements

  • CPA or equivalent is required.
  • 13+ years of experience, ideally from a Big 4/professional services firm or a publicly traded fintech/SaaS company.
  • Minimum 4+ years of direct team management or leadership experience.
  • Experience collaborating with a broad range of business functions, especially senior management, with strong project management skills.
  • Expert knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.
  • Experience leading the accounting month-end book close process.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with large ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, plus advanced Excel skills; data visualization tool experience is a plus.
  • Experience using generative AI tools and copilots responsibly in daily workflows, with human-in-the-loop practices; nice to have familiarity with NetSuite, FloQast, Google Suite, SOX control environments, SQL, Snowflake, Looker, digital assets, crypto, or banking/financial regulatory environments.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $201,365 to $236,900 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
