Description

  • Develop high-performance cloud and container technologies primarily using Python.
  • Deliver high-quality software solutions and code.
  • Create unit tests and improve the software development lifecycle.
  • Investigate and resolve issues found during testing and customer integration.
  • Participate actively in all phases of an agile software development process.
  • Collaborate on containerization, virtualization, and fault-tolerant, carrier-grade systems.
  • Contribute to a highly available orchestration platform supporting multi-vendor deployments.
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot distributed cloud platforms.

Requirements

  • Solid backend development experience, preferably with Python.
  • Working knowledge of Linux fundamentals, including command-line operations, file management, archives, scripting, processes, security, users, groups, and permissions.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking and transport-layer protocols such as TCP and UDP.
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts.
  • Experience collaborating across remote teams, time zones, and with senior technical leaders.
  • Experience with Git, Jira, GitLab, and code review tools.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Linux Containers.
  • Experience administering Kubernetes clusters, including infrastructure design, configuration, control, and monitoring.
  • Experience with Docker and Helm.
  • Preferred: experience developing applications for Kubernetes clusters.
  • Preferred: developer experience with PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ.
