Description

  • Define and maintain KPIs for scalability, resource saturation, latency, throughput, and system limits.
  • Track KPI trends across builds and releases to identify regressions and performance degradation.
  • Execute pre-release performance assessments and provide evidence for release readiness decisions.
  • Design test workloads, synthetic applications, and stress scenarios to evaluate system behavior.
  • Develop tools, frameworks, and automated pipelines for performance measurement and KPI reporting.
  • Run and analyze load, soak, spike, scalability, and endurance experiments.
  • Investigate production performance issues and improve KPI, workload, and measurement coverage.
  • Document environments, configurations, workloads, and methodologies to ensure reproducible results.
  • Troubleshoot anomalies by correlating metrics, logs, traces, and resource utilization across distributed components.
  • Collaborate with development and test teams on architecture, capacity planning, and release decisions.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python for automation, performance data collection, analysis, or reporting.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and attention-to-detail skills with a methodical, data-driven approach.
  • Strong Linux knowledge, including process scheduling, memory management, file systems, I/O, cgroups, and namespaces.
  • Experience with Linux observability tools such as perf, top/htop, vmstat, iostat, sar, dstat, pidstat, strace, or bpftrace.
  • Experience interpreting CPU, memory, disk I/O, network throughput, and latency metrics in distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/UDP and IP networking, including bandwidth, latency, packet loss, and jitter.
  • Experience installing, deploying, and configuring systems and applications on Linux hosts.
  • English proficiency at CEFR B2 level or higher in reading, speaking, and writing.
  • Experience defining infrastructure or platform KPIs and using performance tools such as fio, iperf, qperf, or cyclictest.
  • Experience with CI/CD benchmarking, Kubernetes, OpenStack, monitoring stacks, containers, capacity planning, or large-scale alerting systems is preferred.
