Description

  • Build high-quality software using modern engineering practices across client and internal teams.
  • Work primarily with Java, TypeScript, and adjacent ecosystems as needed.
  • Help teams solve complex software challenges and improve maintainability, delivery, and production readiness.
  • Contribute to technical decision-making and architectural direction.
  • Collaborate with clients, product teams, and stakeholders to understand business context and deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • Identify ambiguity, clarify problems, and take initiative to drive solutions in autonomous environments.
  • Integrate AI tools into day-to-day engineering workflows for coding, testing, refactoring, documentation, discovery, and knowledge sharing.
  • Support teams in using AI safely, pragmatically, and effectively while preserving engineering discipline.
  • Share knowledge and raise engineering standards across teams.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement mindset and coach or mentor others through technical guidance.

Requirements

  • Extensive professional software engineering experience, ideally at senior, staff, principal, lead, or architect level.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and TypeScript.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Experience with CI/CD.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in design, testing, refactoring, architecture, delivery, maintainability, and production readiness.
  • Ability to work across different languages, stacks, and domains.
  • Experience working in autonomous environments where you were expected to identify problems and drive solutions.
  • Good understanding of modern AI tools and how they can be used in professional software engineering.
  • Practical exposure to tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI coding and reasoning assistants.
  • Experience integrating AI tools into engineering workflows, not just experimenting with them individually.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Meaningful exposure to AI-assisted engineering, including using AI for development, testing, refactoring, documentation, debugging, and trade-off analysis.
  • Awareness of hallucinations, security, privacy, and maintainability risks when using AI tools.
