Description

  • Architect end-to-end Adobe Commerce solutions for enterprise B2B and B2C clients, spanning catalog, pricing, checkout, order management, and fulfillment.
  • Design headless and composable commerce architectures using PWA Studio, Adobe Commerce Storefront, GraphQL, and API-first patterns.
  • Lead architecture reviews and ensure secure, scalable, cloud-native commerce implementations.
  • Design Adobe Commerce integrations with AEM, Adobe Experience Platform/Real-Time CDP, Adobe Target, Workfront, and third-party systems.
  • Architect B2B capabilities such as company accounts, quoting, negotiated pricing, requisition lists, and complex catalog rules.
  • Lead technical solutioning for RFPs and strategic deals, including scoping, estimation, and solution design.
  • Define migration strategies from legacy and competitor commerce platforms to Adobe Commerce.
  • Guide extension development, custom modules, and integrations with ERP, OMS, PIM, payment, tax, and logistics platforms.
  • Drive performance and scalability engineering for indexing, caching, checkout performance, and peak traffic.
  • Mentor technical teams and develop reusable accelerators, reference architectures, and delivery playbooks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise technology experience, including 5+ years architecting Adobe Commerce/Magento solutions at scale.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Adobe Commerce/Magento 2 architecture.
  • Experience with headless and composable commerce, including PWA Studio, Adobe Commerce Storefront, GraphQL APIs, React, and Next.js.
  • Hands-on client integration experience with Adobe Commerce and AEM, AEP/Real-Time CDP, Adobe Target, and/or Adobe Campaign.
  • Experience integrating ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or Dynamics; OMS, PIM, payment gateways, tax engines, and shipping providers.
  • Experience developing and customizing PHP extensions, with familiarity in Adobe Commerce Cloud, deployment, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience leading RFP solutioning, client pursuits, and architecture reviews with executive stakeholders.
  • Experience migrating legacy or competitor commerce platforms, including Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce/Hybris, Shopify Plus, or custom platforms, to Adobe Commerce.
  • Knowledge of high-traffic commerce performance engineering, including Varnish, Redis, catalog indexing, and checkout optimization.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or equivalent; Adobe certifications, multi-solution Adobe architecture experience, and agency or consulting experience are preferred.
