Description

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic clients and align client roadmaps with the Smile product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to guide customers through the buying journey and shape solution recommendations.
  • Provide scoping support and sandbox environment support for existing and prospective clients.
  • Create high-level IT architecture specifications and design documents, and troubleshoot design issues.
  • Prepare solution justifications and present them to Smile’s Architecture Review Board for approval.
  • Identify solutions for current challenges and anticipate future obstacles for customer implementations.
  • Support data design and migration to Smile’s platform while considering customer business and cultural transformation needs.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concepts for strategic customers.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, engineering, product, and support teams to bring customer feedback into the product.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve product, sales, and marketing from a technical perspective.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, customer consulting, or system architecture/design.
  • Knowledge of HL7 FHIR and legacy healthcare integration standards and practices is required.
  • Strong healthcare technology knowledge in providers, payers, exchanges, or government programs is highly preferred.
  • Significant hands-on experience in implementation and customer consulting, including identifying customer business challenges.
  • Experience building complex technology-based systems delivered successfully to customers at scale.
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through implementation launch.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical software features, designs, and strategy.
  • Ability to present and influence stakeholders up to C-level/executive level.
  • Previous experience leading or contributing to strategic RFP response development.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices across the full SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
