Description

  • Design and champion internal quality programs and reliability standards across engineering pods.
  • Build SDLC observability pipelines and self-service dashboards using engineering and quality telemetry.
  • Define, automate, and report key quality metrics for deployment health and engineering performance.
  • Architect shift-left quality gates for performance, security, and accessibility within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Build and run load and performance testing for customer onboarding and production validation.
  • Engineer synthetic data handling and production canary mechanisms that keep test traffic isolated from real user data.
  • Use generative AI tooling to accelerate testing framework development, infrastructure code, and testing architecture.
  • Lead consolidation from legacy testing infrastructure to a unified automation stack.
  • Write tests and document key implementations to support fast iteration without sacrificing quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering pods, leadership, and stakeholders to roll out and maintain quality processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience with proficiency in one or more common languages such as Python or Go.
  • Experience working at a systems level with modern developer infrastructure and production telemetry.
  • Ability to query, combine, and process data from tool APIs such as GitHub, Linear, GCP, Sentry, Grafana, and incident.io, or equivalent tools like GitLab, Jira, or Datadog.
  • Experience instrumenting quality metrics such as Change Failure Rate, Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Time to Restore, Regression Rate, Release Failure Rate, PR-failure rate, code review depth, or SLIs/SLOs and error budgets.
  • Strong product-oriented mindset focused on outcomes and business impact.
  • Experience building and refactoring complex, often distributed systems.
  • Experience with declarative infrastructure-as-code deployment patterns.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP and/or AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with load and performance testing tools such as k6, Locust, Gatling, or JMeter, preferred.
  • Experience safely handling synthetic data so test traffic does not contaminate real user telemetry, preferred.
  • AI experience in testing tools and architecture, including verifying and validating AI-generated code and infrastructure outputs, preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
