Description

  • Design, operate, and improve AWS infrastructure across ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and S3.
  • Manage production Aurora/PostgreSQL environments, including multi-AZ failover, read replicas, and replica-lag monitoring.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, tested rollback paths, and rollback drills.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability using OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or similar tools.
  • Conduct load testing and operate services against latency SLOs and error budgets.
  • Apply vulnerability scanning, secrets management, security hardening, and compliance practices.
  • Support SOC 2 or similar audit evidence requests and client security reviews.
  • Participate in incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with client teams and uphold delivery commitments across complex consulting projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and S3.
  • Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production.
  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker, ECS/Fargate, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with deployment automation, rollback testing, observability, and load testing using k6 or similar tools.
  • Experience with security, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance, and SOC 2 or similar audits.
  • Experience with incident response, on-call rotations, root-cause analysis, and large complex systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to overlap with US business hours and demonstrate strong ownership, problem-solving, attention to detail, and client focus.
  • Preferred: experience with S3 Object Lock, long-term archival, secure multi-tenant systems, PostgreSQL Row-Level Security, database migrations, expand/contract schema changes, or compliance-sensitive domains.
