Description

  • Serve as the interim business-side leader for a major initiative or strategic domain with missing or fragmented ownership.
  • Build the operating model, including structure, decision cadence, working model, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Identify, architect, and deploy AI-powered tools and approaches to accelerate execution and improve outcomes.
  • Drive measurable business outcomes and concrete results, not just coordination or process management.
  • Bring order, momentum, and clarity to underbuilt or evolving domains that need to be stabilized or reshaped.
  • Lead through ambiguity by defining the path, consolidating ownership, and unblocking stuck initiatives.
  • Prepare a long-term handoff to a durable owner, team, or organizational structure once the work is stable.
  • Develop a clear understanding of Clover’s business model, operating context, and leadership dynamics.
  • Clarify scope, decisions, and near-term priorities for critical initiatives.
  • Improve execution and decision quality over time to leave the function or system stronger than before.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in investing, consulting, business operations, strategy, startup leadership, or other highly selective operator tracks.
  • Experience building in elite, high-judgment environments.
  • Ability to diagnose messy business problems quickly and move from strategy to operating detail.
  • Experience taking on ambiguous, high-stakes work with incomplete information and driving it to a real outcome.
  • Credibility with senior executives and ability to work effectively with leaders across the company, including the CEO, Chairman, and OpCo.
  • Comfort operating in intense, temporary, and highly leveraged roles focused on building, stabilizing, and transitioning.
  • Systems thinking and ability to understand how incentives, decisions, interfaces, and organizational design interact.
  • Not a fit for candidates looking to run an IT transformation office, manage a PMO, or act as a process administrator.
  • Final pay is based on factors including internal equity, market data, education, work experience, and certifications.
  • E-Verify company status and consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records under San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
