Description

  • Define product quality metrics and create a multi-quarter QA roadmap.
  • Execute the QA roadmap and expand test coverage based on risk and impact.
  • Own test system infrastructure and resource planning.
  • Build a team culture centered on heavy AI and automation usage.
  • Restructure on-call/on-duty rotation to be equitable and sustainable.
  • Mentor SDETs to become product quality engineers who own subsystems end to end.
  • Create career growth paths for the QA team.
  • Improve test reliability and quality engineering execution through data-driven processes.
  • Automate recurring manual tasks such as reports and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate across tools and systems including CI/CD, reporting, and communication platforms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation.
  • 2+ years of experience leading a QA team of 5+ engineers.
  • Deep experience testing Linux-based products, including RPM, systemd, and multi-distro environments.
  • Proven track record of significantly improving test reliability metrics.
  • Experience building or integrating AI/ML into QA workflows with shipped results.
  • Strong Python skills, as the test framework and tooling are built in Python.
  • CI/CD pipeline architecture experience, including Jenkins Pipelines and upcoming GitLab CI migration.
  • Ability to think strategically and define long-term QA direction.
  • Strong delegation and ownership-tracking mindset for distributed processes.
  • Data-driven execution style with clear metrics, targets, and accountability.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and driving improvements independently.
  • Automation-first mindset for recurring manual work.
  • VM orchestration or cloud infrastructure testing experience is preferred.
  • Security product testing background, such as WAF or antivirus, is preferred.
