Description

  • Define and evolve the automated testing strategy across UI, API, contract, integration, performance, and load testing.
  • Own the test suite for the flagship customer-facing applications, including test code, fixtures, helpers, and harnesses.
  • Design and manage CI/CD test integration on ArgoCD so tests gate releases with fast, trustworthy feedback.
  • Establish test data strategy, environment management, and reliability patterns for the testing ecosystem.
  • Build coverage for the .NET monolith, Next.js front end, and emerging services as the architecture changes.
  • Apply AI to test authoring, suite generation, maintenance, and coverage analysis to scale quality efforts.
  • Collaborate with front end, back end, data, design, product, and DevSecOps partners on quality outcomes.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, refine stories with a QA lens, and implement automated tests for each story.
  • Mentor teammates through strong test design, code reviews, and hands-on problem solving.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with deep specialization in test automation, or equivalent Senior/Staff/Lead SDET, SET, or Quality Engineer experience.
  • Proven experience building a testing practice from an early stage to a mature program.
  • Strong hands-on coding ability and experience writing production-quality, maintainable test code.
  • Experience with Playwright or comparable modern end-to-end frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium.
  • Deep experience with API testing and contract testing, including third-party API seams and responsible use of mocks, stubs, and record/replay.
  • Experience designing and running performance and load testing programs using tools such as k6, JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI to testing workflows, including AI-assisted authoring, suite generation, self-healing tests, or AI-driven coverage analysis.
  • Strong experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with ArgoCD, Kubernetes, and containerized test environments is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the .NET and Next.js ecosystems sufficient to read and reason about the codebase.
  • Clear point of view on accessibility (WCAG) and usability testing.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining coverage gaps, flaky tests, and release risk to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
