Description

  • Set and evolve Cloudbeds’ Snowflake cloud data architecture, logical and physical models, data products, and marts.
  • Design and lead ingestion, API integrations, custom connectors, ELT/ETL processes, and pipeline orchestration.
  • Establish DataOps and CI/CD practices, including automated dbt testing, environment isolation, credential management, and deployment standards.
  • Develop governance and observability strategies covering data lineage, freshness, completeness, and automated failure alerting.
  • Optimize Snowflake query performance, clustering, warehouse sizing, execution times, and compute costs.
  • Architect semantic layers, data structures, and access patterns that support AI agents, ML pipelines, and automated workflows.
  • Mentor Analytical Engineers through architectural guidance, design reviews, and technical challenge within Agile planning.
  • Evaluate and implement modern data tools, frameworks, and architecture patterns.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Data Science/ML, and business stakeholders to maintain a reliable, scalable data ecosystem.
  • Document architectural decisions through Architecture Decision Records and lead lightweight prototypes or proofs of concept.

Requirements

  • Senior hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or Tech Lead in cloud data environments.
  • Deep expertise administering, tuning, and modeling in Snowflake.
  • Advanced dbt expertise, including macros, incremental models, custom tests, packages, and CI/CD testing.
  • Expert SQL skills, including execution-plan tuning, window functions, and CTEs.
  • Strong Python proficiency for data pipelines, scripting, and MLOps workflows.
  • Experience with orchestration and ingestion tools such as Matillion, Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or Fivetran.
  • Experience extending Git and CI/CD systems with automated data testing, deployment validation, and secure credential rotation.
  • Experience preparing semantic models, feature stores, APIs, or access layers for AI agents, ML pipelines, or LLM workflows.
  • Business-level English communication skills and the ability to influence, mentor, and collaborate in a distributed team.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the position’s location without visa sponsorship; experience with Snowflake Cortex, RAG, LLM agents, Sigma, or n8n is preferred.
