Description

  • Create professional UI experiences with strong UX design, visual layout, and concept development.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, engineers, and production teams to deliver client work.
  • Review and organize playtests for UI prototypes and final in-game interfaces.
  • Iterate on playable game flows so stakeholders can evaluate UI before implementation.
  • Create motion graphic mock-ups to demonstrate complex interactions.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, gather requirements, and recommend solutions.
  • Lead UI standards by defining benchmarks, style guides, workflows, documentation, and approvals.
  • Produce reports for internal and client needs.
  • Research, evaluate, and propose new practices to keep UI work current and effective.
  • Advocate for strong communication in UI and contribute improvements to team processes.

Requirements

  • Stylistically diverse, organised, and precise.
  • Deep understanding of UI art team roles, workflows, and how art integrates with broader development teams.
  • Strong graphic design background with solid knowledge of art theory.
  • Advanced knowledge of user interface theory and practice, including terminology and best practices.
  • Proficiency with UI and graphic design tools such as Figma and Photoshop, plus game engines such as Unreal Engine.
  • Ability to create and present high-level documentation, style guides, and ideation.
  • Experience advising team members on UI production matters and using production tools such as Jira.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong ability to analyse visual direction.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to verbalise conceptual thoughts and accept constructive critique.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Experience with direct client communication is preferred.
  • UI concept art and white box wireframing experience is preferred.
